More Sustainable Choice

More sustainable choice of yarn and fabric.

More sustainable choice of yarn and fabric.

We aspire to contribute to the general well-being of the local communities and to create a sustainable social, cultural and economic life.

Bangladesh has been known as the second-largest garment exporter in the world, and we could have conveniently get our products made in one of these factories. However, we are attracted to the beauty of handmade crafts and believing in creating job opportunity for artisans. When we look at the handicraft products, we think of perseverance.  It reminds us that we can achieve, whatever the struggle.

In the process of sourcing and production, we are constantly on a lookout for more sustainable methods and materials in hopes of reducing our carbon footprints. We are proud to say that our materials are 100% sourced in Bangladesh and are made with love by the artisans in our community.

Our tea-picker series is inspired by the daily use of Toray Tetrex, a material traditionally worn by the locals. TORAY TETREX® is a deluxe polyester-made material that is comparatively superior to conventional cotton and cotton-polyester blended material in terms of softness, appearance, and easy-care. The fabric that we used is manufactured in TM Textiles & Garments Limited Bangladesh, a Toray Group Subsidiary outside of Japan.

Our bag lining is made from repurposed yarn spun polyester and this is actually one of the finds we're excited about! This type of recycling is achieved by means of chemical or mechanical processes which consumes lesser energy than the conventional method of producing new fabrics. By doing so, it also gives our product a longer life span. With the aim in mind to create a sustainable life, we hope to reduce garment waste and achieve a healthier environment.
