Sreemangal Tea Garden

As we roamed through the famously known tea capital of Bangladesh, we were first greeted with the beautiful and opulent Sreemangal Tea Garden. Walking into it, we could feel the dampness of the tea shrubs carefully brushing against our legs as we immerse ourselves in this phenomenon culture. Taken aback by its beauty along with its natural fresh crisp of air, we pondered over how tied we are to the sprung rhythms of earth and sky, climate and season.

Whilst exploring the trails of the tea garden, we then encountered an unusual path that caught our attention; we tailed it. To our amazement, we were welcomed with beams of sunlight painting the horizon as though someone was gradually turning the lights on! It was a sight never meant to be forgotten.

The sprinklers were on, cutting into the sun-beams while droplets of water were gently sprayed all around the plantation. We saw a group of tea pickers donned in bright colours and printed sarees. Each one of them carried a huge knotted bag on their shoulders and was ready to fill them up with their harvest today.

The Tea-Picker series is the reflection of the incredible experience we have gotten from the tea pickers of Sreemangal Tea Garden. The concept and design of our products are inspired by the freshly-picked leaves and their unusually cute cotton voile cloth bag. The chosen colours were, of course, taken from the breathtaking colours of the sunset we've experienced at the tea garden.

Each bag from Tea-Picker Series is made with utmost care and love by the artisans in our Bangladesh community. We promise to abide to fair trade practices and provide quality workmanship to the best of our abilities!
