Giving Back to Our Community

Providing quality education for children in Jaago Bangladesh

At Goodduck, we are determined to make a difference in bettering the community that we live in. 

Apart from showcasing the rich craftsmanship of Bangladesh, Goodduck also believes in giving back and making a difference in the community. Being based in Dhaka, we witness a large number of underprivileged children who could not afford education and had to step out to the society early to provide extra income for their family. These are the young children who have to work in food stalls, either as manual labourers or to sell ‘paan’ (betel leaves for consumption) along the busy roads. This is why we aspire to empower and lift these children out of poverty through education.

As such, Goodduck has partnered with JAAGO Foundation as part of our giving back program. The foundation aims for the betterment of the nation by catering to the educational needs of children from socially and economically disadvantaged background.

We are contributing a portion of our sales to help children-in-need getting new school uniform, new school bag, necessary school supplies, nutritious meal and basic medications in all their 12 schools. Our contribution also enables JAAGO design and run multiple co-curricular activities for the children.
