A Trip to Sreemangal Tea Garden
The Tea-Picker series is the reflection of the incredible experience we have gotten from the tea pickers of Sreemangal Tea Garden. The concept and design of our products are inspired by the freshly-picked leaves and their unusually cute cotton voile cloth bag. Our Folks
The birth of Goodduck came about while the duo were sipping ‘rong cha’ (A must-try Bangladeshi tea with a slice of ginger) at a tea stall in the bustling Old Dhaka.
With the aim for more people to join them in their Desh’s stories, Bangladesh native Tarek Apple, a graduate from Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Fine Art Institute and Singapore-based Isaiah Lim, who majored in Fashion Design in Lasalle College of the Arts - are the brainchild behind Goodduck.
With Goodduck, they hope to bring to light the rich culture and crafts of Bangladesh by showcasing exquisite craftsmanship of local artisans through their curated collections, and to eliminate the stigma - “Made in Bangladesh”.
Other than creating at Goodduck, Tarek loves spending his time crafting wheel-thrown ceramic sculpture while Isaiah is essentially just obsessed with his Tibetan singing bowl, white sage clusters and sandalwood oil.
